An Introduction to me and my Blog

To briefly introduce myself my name is Roxanne Grillo, I am 19 and currently in my first year of studies at the University of Malta. My course is a B.A in Communication Studies and English. I have always had a love for the English language and its literature and that has led me to where I am today. The concept of studying Communication Studies has only been but very recent.

I generally prefer staying indoors with my cats and a good film or TV show. I enjoy baking and being creative in the culinary arts, but most of all I enjoy eating. I love collecting makeup products, just as much as I enjoy collecting books. I also seem to find great pleasure in organising and cleaning and could spend hours doing so. I generally spend my time trying to communicate with my cats and watching YouTube videos. As much as I enjoy eating I also enjoy the aspect of nutrition, especially through studying Home Economics at A-level standard, but if you ever find me at the gym be quick and call a doctor. I am very fond of the environment, especially the natural aspect and have always dreamt of living in a more stripped back kind of world where technology and innovation are still at the forefront, yet are focused more on rejuvenating our environment. I have a love for animals and I try my best to be as sustainable as I can. This leads me to the topic of my blog.

I will be focusing my blog posts on analysing news pieces regarding the environment. I will include pieces discussing climate change, the rising sea levels and the extinction of wildlife. I will look into pieces focusing on pollution such as from transportation but also that in our oceans. I will search into the issue of renewable energy or the recent climate change summit. Other pieces might include the use of electric vehicles or the protection of forests. I will discuss news regarding the issues of sustainability and anything related to the Earth and its environment. Such topics I have studied, and very much enjoyed, in my past years of studies, and it is for me an important aspect in my daily life and education.
